Updated: Oct 13, 2020

We would like to introduce you to Abolee, our Marketing Intern. Abolee has been working with us since June. She currently is working behind the scenes on our social media analytics and is working to put together some exciting social media contests for our page.

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I am a curiosity-driven woman who is ambivert and intellectual. I love to analyze coming-of-age movies directed by Greta Gerwig and the James Wan horror genre. In my free time, I research about paranormal science and read people’s experiences to come up with my theories of the event. I love solving mysteries. My zodiac sign is Aries, so I like to describe myself as an independent woman who doesn’t say no to challenges and strongly believes in feminism.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.

Most people get surprised when I tell them that I am an ambivert. I usually portray myself as a social butterfly and someone who likes to be the center of attention, but I can go days without speaking to people. I am a supporter of the fact that one needs to stay alone to learn about themselves and practice self-love. Quarantine helped me understand myself better.

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.

I love bacon and I can speak beginner level Spanish. When I was a kid, I was a

tomboy.

Three words to best describe you:

Curious, independent and intellectual.

Before with Pink Crown Creative, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

When I was pursuing journalism and mass communication, I interned at NDTV. NDTV is a popular Indian news channel and there, my responsibility was to analyze votes in the Marathi language for Maharashtra elections. The experience was exciting as I discovered that I am good at analysis.

Motto, favourite quote or personal mantra?

“Whatever it takes to find the real you, don’t be daunted if the rest of the world looks on in shock” – Stephen Richards

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

Oman is my favorite travel destination. I have been there twice. The weather is usually hot and the country has a lot of untouched attractions. The reason why I would select Oman over all the places I have been to is that Oman is a very down-to-earth country, just like me. I feel that the places we pick say a lot about who we are as a person. Oman does not have restrictions on clothing, unlike other middle-east countries. The destinations are unexplored and travelers have to trek for hours to get a good view. Traveling in Oman is a treat for curiosity-driven people. Most people choose the United Arab Emirates when they think about holidaying in the middle east, but Oman is a preference for those who prefer down-to-earth over luxury.

You’re happiest when?

I am happiest when I am with my family. I love taking road trips with them.

How do you define success?

Success is triumph we get after going through failures. I would not define success as the opposite of failure. It is like the reward or fruit we get after we reach the endgame.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I would like to be a makeup artist.

What did you want to be when growing up?

I wanted to become a geologist. I was fascinated by geography.

What is on your bucket list?

Aurora Borealis. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

What is your favourite movie, tv and book?

My favourite movie would be Lady Bird. My favourite series would be Stranger Things and Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is my favourite book.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

I like photography, trekking and listening to Andre Bocelli.

What makes you the most excited about being a part of the Pink Crown Creative team?

I want to learn and analyze creative phases of organic and paid campaigns and

determine audiences through Facebook Audience Insights. I want to study the

media behaviour of Canadian consumers. I can help Pink Crown Creative to

prioritize the right media channels to drive engagement and I want to identify the content that resonates with Canadian and multicultural users.
